- Stretches the groin, inner thighs, chest and shoulders
- Begin by standing tall with feet together, grab hold of your right ankle as you bring the sole of the foot onto the inside of the left thigh, aiming to get the heel of the foot as high as possible to the inside of the thigh (if you cannot lift the foot high position it by the inside of the knee)
- Place your hands on your hips to help with balance, push the sole of the foot and your left thigh against one another
- Focus on keeping the hips facing forward, with a wide open chest bring the palms of your hands together in front of the chest, roller the shoulder blades down the back as you swing your arms out to the side and up to the side of your head
- Strong straight arms with the palms facing one another, avoid hunching the shoulders up
- Keep looking forward with a relaxed neck as you hold the pose for as long as you can
- Exhale as you lower your arms and return your leg to the standing position
- Repeat on the other leg
