I often speak to people about kindness and how it can help in so many mental and physical areas of our life..
Kindness is a beautiful act that should be encouraged more, in thought and deed.
Kindness is wonderful and anyone that regularly manifests kindness as a character trait is sure to leave a trail of warmth and appreciation in the minds and hearts of the people they meet.
Being kind to others is an important , however, being kind to yourself is also very important.
In our efforts to be kind to others we can sometimes forget to be kind to ourselves. To treat ourselves with care and consideration.
Sometimes we treat ourselves in a manner, that if we witnessed in someone else, we would possibly call it neglect.
Be kind to yourself!
The act self-kindness can take a number of forms:
- Taking enough breaks during our busy day.
- Taking enough time out in our day to have a proper lunch.
- Taking a holiday when needed.
- Treating ourselves to that special something from time to time.
- Making sure we get enough sleep.
- Learning to say no and not take on too much workload.
- Not working all the hours we can.
- It could even be just taking some time out to stop, still our mind and appreciate the moment.
In whatever way you can be kind to yourself, be kind to yourself.
Don’t wait to do it. Often people have waited and delayed self-kindness and then suddenly life deals them a hand that stops them from being able to be kind to themselves, in a way they would have liked to.
Don’t delay, make being kind to yourself an important part of your thinking and daily routine.
For you are no good to other people unless you are good enough to yourself, to look after and be kind to you.
One of the best ways you can be kind to your is by looking after your health.
When you look after your health and wellbeing you are not only be kind to yourself, your are ensuring that you will be fit and well enough to be kind to other.s
